Do I need a lawyer?
If you’re reading this you may already know that your situation may be complicated or outside your comfort zone. In most instances you are better educated and better prepared to deal with legal issues when represented by competent counsel. Be aware that not all attorneys are comfortable actually litigating cases. At Warren R. Stein, P.C. we’ve been litigating cases at both the trial level and the appellate level for more than twenty years.
When should I call a lawyer?
Procrastinating does not normally lead to positive results in the legal arena. You should contact an attorney as soon as you are aware that you have a legal issue. There are statutes of limitation which can impact your case in civil matters and in traffic and/or criminal matters there are often deadlines that affect an attorney’s ability to provide a complete and vigorous defense. When in doubt, make the call sooner rather than later.
What are your fees?
Typically traffic matters (such as reckless driving, speeding and DUI) and/or criminal matters (such as possession of marijuana or grand larceny) are handled on a flat-fee basis. After meeting and reviewing your case, a flat fee is established for representation without regard to the number of hours the attorney may spend on your case. Personal injury cases are normally handled on a contingency basis where the attorney receives an agreed percentage of any recovery made. Most other civil litigation matters like divorce, contracts, landlord/tenant, custody and spousal support are billed on an hourly basis for time spent. Warren R. Stein, P.C. gladly accepts all major credit cards.
What are your hours?
The offices of Warren R. Stein, P.C. are staffed between the hours of 9 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. however we understand that most of our clients have jobs too, and we work with our clients to find mutually agreeable times to meet.
What is a legal general practitioner?
A general practitioner is an attorney who has experience in a broad array of legal issues much like a family doctor has knowledge of a broad range of medical issues. A seasoned legal general practitioner can serve your or your business’s legal needs and provide insight as to the legal implications in other areas of your life or business. Warren R. Stein, P.C. offers decades of experience in legal issues ranging from auto accidents to zoning, divorce to DUI and corporate formation and contract disputes.
